Filter Rules

Filter-rules, as the name suggests, are the rules that are applied to custom algorithms to let the shoppers have relevant recommendations.

 

Filter rules help shoppers with relevant recommendations for their targeted search and choice. So, if the filter rule applies ‘color’ includes ‘same color as the anchor product’, then such products are displayed as the primary recommendations to the shoppers. 

NOTE: Dynamic filters would be applicable only on product pages and algorithms - More Like This, Recommended For You, Recently Viewed, Cross-sell, Complete The look

Create Filter Rules

To add a filter rule follow the mentioned process :

  1. Within the console, navigate to Manage Algorithms > Custom Algorithm.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Click the Add icon. The Create Custom Filter Rule window appears.
  4. Select the attribute from the drop-down menu. You can add multiple attributes by clicking the AND operator. To edit the list of filter types, click the settings icon on the Filter Rules page.
  5. Select the required operator from ‘include’ or ‘exclude’ which specifies the condition. 
  6. Then, select the ‘Actions‘ to be taken on the specified attribute. The Actions can either be ‘Dynamic’ or ‘Static’. 

You’ve successfully created a draft Filter Rule.

Edit Filter Rules

To modify a field rule, edit using the mentioned process :

  1. Within the console, navigate to Manage Algorithms > Custom Algorithm.
  2. Click the required Algorithm. The Edit Algorithm page appears.
  3. Click the Manage button under Custom Filter Rules.
  4. Edit it and save the filter rule.

You’ve successfully edited the filter rule.

Delete a Filter Rule

To Delete a field rule follow the mentioned process :

  1. Within the console, navigate to Manage Algorithms > Custom Algorithm.
  2. Click Filter Rule.
  3. Click the delete icon for the required Rule.

You’ve successfully deleted the filter rule.

CAUTION: Deleting will permanently remove the Rule. You cannot recover a deleted filter rule.
